| Firstly, ask yourself some basic questions:
1) Do you feel they really listen to you?
2) What is the scope of their experience, and have they completed commissions or this kind of project before?
3) Do you feel you would be comfortable working with them? (Remembering that it will develop into a long term relationship as your project unfolds.)
4) How realistic are your expectations concerning budget and completion timeframes? (Are they willing to give you frank advice at the early stages of the design project?)
5) Have you any idea of the extent of their services you think may be required for the completion of your project?
6) Are they able to provide a 'done for you' service from conception to 'keys to the door', and beyond, for your concept and vision to come to life?
7) How committed are they to environmentally sustainable design and processes?
8) What are their other clients saying about them?
Once you are able to answer these questions, you are have probably found the right architect for you.
