Apartment living now occupies a common part of urban and, increasingly, suburban living.
People moving to apartment style living vary in their individual living arrangements, life-stages, and socio-economic backgrounds. Accordingly, apartment buildings must be designed to cater for a wide range of households.
Our practice has completed, or currently completing, several apartment projects all over Melbourne.
As all apartments are located in an urban context, the intensity of building form in relation to its site poses many challenges. Some sites are small and highly constrained, or of an uneven shape, or have sensitive interfaces with adjoining properties.
The examples shown demonstrate the extent to which our design skills are flexible and adaptable to the constraints and individual site conditions which impact on the project.
